LR-winter-fire-webOur circa 1865 Second Empire Victorian is graced with large rooms, 10-foot ceilings, elaborate moldings, and a coffered ceiling in the 18’x30′ living room. The living room’s wood-burning fireplace, baby grand piano, cookbook collection, and plentiful comfortable seating invite you to relax. Several months of the year the large front porch provides an outdoor room for your enjoyment; the deep setback from the street allows privacy and an opportunity to watch life go by in a small town, enjoy a good read, or have a glass of wine.

A full country breakfast is served in our dining room or on our gingerbread front porch in season. Coffee is ready at 8am and breakfast is served from 8:30 to 10:00am.

Breakfast always includes:

  • Juices and fresh fruit
  • Homemade baked goods including our signature scones
  • Egg dish of the day
  • Pancake/Waffle/French toast of the day
  • Bacon, Sausage, or Ham
  • Coffee, a variety of loose Teas, Hot Chocolate
  • By the second morning you will probably be requesting the “half and half” – a smaller egg portion and a half portion of pancakes or French toast

Each evening dessert with coffee and tea is offered in the living room about 9pm. The innkeeper’s background includes owning a wholesale dessert company in the Boston area for about 20 years. Desserts range from small fancy cookies and pastries to cakes, tortes, crepes, fruit crisps and crumbles, profiteroles, and tarts.

Late afternoon you will find beverages and snacks. You are always welcome in the kitchen to help yourself to coffee and tea. Although the Inn does not have a liquor license, you are welcome to BYO. We are well-supplied with sodas, mixers, glasses, ice buckets and you have access to refrigeration space.

All of the rooms at The Inn on Park Street are provided with:

  • Thick terry robes
  • AM/FM clock radios
  • Extra pillows
  • Hair dryers
  • Spa toiletries
  • Wireless, high-speed Internet access
  • Air Conditioning

Bedding is high thread count 100% cotton and the sheets are hand-ironed. Down duvets, 100% wool Fairibault blankets, and natural cotton bedspreads complete the ensemble. Each room has a sitting area, good lighting for reading, and luggage racks.

The Theresa Room has cable TV and its bathroom has a very large two-person jacuzzi tub. Wi-Fi access is accessible on the gingerbread front porch as well as in all rooms.

We are earnest in our efforts to make you feel completely at home. You are encouraged to use the kitchen door if you wish and to stop for a coffee and a sweet as you pass through.

Lastly, our finest amenity is the village itself. You will find the neighbors friendly and the shopkeepers helpful. The shops and galleries will help you slip into a different frame of mind. The architecture of Park Street is a mini-course in late 19th century building styles; the homes have been well-maintained and the stroll to the town green is one of the must dos. Grab an ice cream cone at the Inside Scoop antique ice cream parlor on your trip. Cross the street and watch the traffic stop for you!
