The Inn On Park Street, Vermont
Home | Packages | Girlfriend Weekends

For years now my "girl" friends and I have been going away together for a weekend. Whatever the season, we might take a weekend to shop New York City, go to a specific art exhibit, lie on the beach, ski and build snowwomen, or just enjoy each other's company uninterrupted by life's other demands. We've been friends for a long time now and we joke with each other that our conversations have changed over the years from dates, clothes, and birth control, to children, elderly parents, marriage, and menopause.

The Inn on Park Street is well suited for such a weekend. Our village location is perfect for shopping and doing the galleries. Yet hiking, biking, golf, and cross country skiing are only minutes away. The area is rich with antique shops whose owners offer our guests discounts and special attention. Our local book store is the pride of the village- a great getaway for your book club.

The village boasts 6 options for lunch including Café Provence, popular throughout the state with its chef/owner formerly with the New England Culinary Institute. Dinner can be arranged at the Inn or at one of Brandon’s excellent restaurants.

With just 6 rooms, we are an ideal size for a group of lady friends to get away together. We will coordinate a getaway that matches your idea of a great time together. We‘ll do the planning for an antiquing route, a moderate or strenuous hike, a full or half day of biking or snowshoeing or cross country skiing, or itineraries for area historical sites, museums, and covered bridges. We can even arrange a private appointment with an artist or a wine tasting or cheese-making at a local farm. Of course, there is always shopping as well.

A group of 3-5 can reserve during the quiet season (November, March, and April) for 2 nights midweek for $180/person. A weekend getaway during the quiet season is $200/person for a group of 3-5. Your stay will include:

In season “whole house” rental is $600/night midweek and $650/night weekends, both requiring a 2 night minimum. Maximum occupancy is 12.

Dinner at the Inn is available for $20/person for a 3-course family style meal or $35/person for a 4-course served candlelit dinner. Both options are arranged individually; each group chooses its menu after being presented with several suggestions.

All alcohol is BYO with sodas, mixers, and set-ups provided.
